Crime Scene Cleanup

Crime scene cleaning is the process of cleaning up a crime scene after a crime has been committed. It is a specialized cleaning that safely and thoroughly removes hazardous materials. These cleaners use the latest equipment and techniques to ensure that they provide the highest quality of service. These professionals are responsible for removing hazardous materials, such as blood, bodily fluids, and other biohazards, from the crime scene. They use patented and generic cleaning products, such as unique cleaning agents, odor removal and dissolving agents to clean the area and conduct specific tests to ensure that the cleaning is complete and safe to occupy. which is why they make sure to provide prompt, efficient service that meets all regulatory standards.

Cleaning crime scene is not easy. These professionals have specialized training and equipment to safely remove hazardous materials from a crime scene. They use protective gear such as aprons, gloves, shoe covers, and mask while working at the crime scene.

The cost of crime scene cleaning can vary depending on the required cleaning specifications, scope of work, complexity of the cleanup, and how long it will take to bring the site back to its original pre-incident condition.

If you want to work for a crime scene cleaning company, you will need to have a strong stomach and be prepared to work in difficult conditions. You will need to have special training before you can clean a crime scene.

Unattended Death Cleanup

An "unattended death" means that someone was discovered dead, and there were no witnesses to the death. Although some of those cases do involve criminal activity, most do not, and that is why the Sheriff's Office, Medical Examiner, or the Police Department has to investigate - to determine if there was anything criminal involved in the death. Non-criminal deaths can be due to several factors, such as an accidental overdose of medicine, medical conditions such as a heart attack and suicide.

The phrase unattended death refers to a death in which the body is not found for days, weeks, or months. When this happens body fluids from decay flesh is left in the area where the death occurred, which leaves a stain, and emits an odor. Unattended death happen most of the time with the disabled and the elderly, especially if they reside alone and do not have family or friends that check on them regularly. In sporadic cases, an unattended death may occur after a suicide or homicide in which several areas have to be cleaned.

The Sheriff, Police, Coroner’s or Medical Examiner’s Office investigates "all unattended deaths, suicides, homicides, accidental deaths, deaths which occur within 24 hours of admittance to a medical facility, and all children’s deaths.

The coroner or medical examiner, based on the death investigation, determines the manner and cause of death utilizing the factors of circumstances surrounding the incident, medical history of the decedent, and laboratory/autopsy results in some instances.

By law, the investigating official must have completed their investigation before the cleaning professionals can clean the scene.

The responsibility of cleaning is left up to the property owner which can lead to costly expenses.
